Morfa Children’s Centre 

was established in November 2011 as part of   Carmarthenshire’s Modernising Education Programme and is situated within Ysgol Maes y Morfa. Access to the centre can be gained from School Road.

The Children’s Centre offers a warm welcoming environment for families and children in the local area.  A network of services is on offer from the centre which provides support to families and children 0 to 10 years.  Services include:

Flying Start Health Visiting Clinic:  
Classes including language and Play, having a baby group and more

Job Centre Plus Outreach Service:

Children’s Services are responsible for the strategic direction for the Children’s Centre but work in partnership with the school, health, Flying Start, Plant Dewi and CYCA.  

Morfa Family Centre                

Established in 2005 Morfa Family Centre is a community based resource operating from Morfa Children’s centre providing local support to local parents and children. At Morfa Family Centre we provide activities, courses, crafts and fun, primarily for families with preschool children up to the age of five, welcoming older siblings during school holidays. It is a safe stimulating place in which to socialise, make lifelong friends and take time out from daily life to relax, learn new skills and truly enjoy your children.

 Trips

Here at the Centre we run regular trips and visits to local attractions keeping the kids busy during their school breaks and holidays. Folly Farm, Llanelli Wildfowl and Wetlands, Pantomime at Swansea Grand Theatre and the National Botanic Garden of Wales are just a few outings that have recently been enjoyed.

Groups

Dad’s group – The Dad’s group meets every Wednesday afternoon. The group is a great opportunity for Dads', Granddads and all male careers in general to get together, share experiences and learn new skills. 

Bump and baby - The Bump and Baby group meets every Thursday afternoon giving expectant and new parents and opportunity to meet and share experiences in a relaxed environment and build happy memories right from the start. This group concentrates on the care of your child before and after birth. Activities include, indulging you baby with baby massage, yoga and reflexology as well as relaxation techniques and suitable exercise for pregnant mothers.
