  • Thank you

    Wed 14 Jul 2021

A huge thank you to Kirsty Thomas and her helper Leah Hart for sorting out the balloons for the Year 6 leavers party. The balloon arch was absolutely amazing. Thank you for creating the arch and giving up your time to do this for the pupils. Both the pupils and staff at Maes Y Morfa are extremely grateful for your time and effort to make their end of year more special. Bless you.

Anyone looking for balloons for parties weddings or any occasion, we would highly recommend getting in touch with kirsty.

    Thanks again

    Have a great summer.

Thank you all for your continued support over a very challenging year. We have had to deliver some very difficult messages and make decisions about situations that we have never done before. We wanted the children to have an excellent end of year and we have done as much as we can to ensure that happens. Not being able to have Sports Day and our Leavers concert in school are 2 of the many things that we have not been able to do. It is so sad and frustrating for us and I know it has been that way for you. We are really hoping that the disruption is over and that we can return to normal in September. We are a strong community here and our pupils are amazing. Please stay safe over the summer and enjoy!

  • return to school

    Wed 14 Jul 2021

    Dear parents,

As it stands when we return on Friday 3rd September , there will no longer be staggered starts. School will start at 8.50am and end for nursery, reception , Y1 and Y2 at 3pm. Juniors Y3, Y4,Y5,Y6 will finish at 3.10pm. Everyone starts at the same time. The reason for this is that the government will no longer allow schools flexibility to change their own start and finish times. Our timings have to now be set and communicated in advance for the rest of the school year.

  • Thank you Yvonne Thomas

  • school finishing and returning

    Mon 12 Jul 2021

A reminder school finishes normal time on Thursday. We return on Friday 3rd September. There is some change with regards to start and finish times but it is being discussed by the local authority we will up date you as soon as possible. The suggestion is that we stop staggered timings and go back to one time entry and one time exit. This has not been decided yet but just to keep you up to date.

The family centre have asked that all pupils attending SHEP should use the main entrance of school as normal. This will be for drop off and collection. Timings are 9.30am to 2.15pm. If there are any changes we will let you know.

Breakfast club will start back for those who have booked via the school office before the end of this week. This begins on Monday 6th September.

  • Photos of end of term activities

    Mon 12 Jul 2021

Photos from today's values trip to Wiggley's Farm will be uploaded on to the website. Thank you to those parents who came along to the meeting on Thursday last week. We have put your suggestions into motion already and we greatly appreciate your time. All pupils on the values trip were amazing and definitely earned their reward.

As indicated on the letter for the Pembrey trip on Wednesday, no money is required. Many thanks

All photographs will be on the school website by the end of the week.

  • Y6 Parents

    Tue 06 Jul 2021

Dear Y6 parents, the pupils are due to go to Limitless on their end of year trip tomorrow. Please note that they will be given a health and safety briefing before they are permitted to use the equipment. Limitless waiver any responsibility for any injuries sustained while the children are there. I am sure most of you will know this if you have been previously but I just wanted you to know this. Please speak with your child and remind them about following safety advice when using the apparatus.
