Dear parents
Lockdown Practice
Over the next couple of weeks we will carrying out a lockdown practice of the whole building. On this day we will send out a message to you as though it is a real lockdown. We will not be providing you with the date of this lockdown as we want to ensure our procedures are working. There is no need for you to do anything . We just want to ensure that you are getting the information and that you are all clear that you cannot call the school or come to the school when this lockdown is happening.
The gates will be closed and we will not be answering the phones. The children's centre and Jellitotz will be also be in lockdown because it is the whole building. We have done this twice already and the pupils are more than happy about the procedure.
This is part of our usual procedures. Fire drills, lockdown and evacuation need to be rehearsed termly in case they are needed.
many thanks

Dear parents
We appreciate that over the summer some pupils will find the thought of returning to school really challenging. Pupils have been to visit their classes several times throughout the last few weeks and those that need it, have been much more.
However at times where you feel appropriate over the holiday please share this video with your child. This link takes you to videos staff have prepared to say how much they are looking forward to welcoming you back in September. Please go to the correct teacher for your child, play the message and enjoy.

https://www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/council-services/education-schools/parentpay/
Follow this link to take you to parent pay and follow the instructions. Sadly, this process is nothing to do with school but we have been told that schools should not be collecting cash for pupils to attend trips at all from September 2025.
All trips must be paid for through this option. We are sent the list of payment and non payment to inform us from this system. Sorry, but if electronic payment is not made we cannot allow the pupils on the trip. Please familiarise yourselves with this between now and September so we don't have any pupils upset.
Many thanks
