Dear parents
Our School disco will take place on Thursday 12th June. Pupils in Nursery, Reception , Y1 and Y2 will have their disco starting at 2.30pm and finish at 3.30pm . Please collect your child at this time on this day.
Y3 , Y4, Y5 and Y6 will start at 3.30pm until 4.30pm. All pupils can wear disco clothing to school on this day. KS2 will have some time to do their hair and makeup after school if they want to do so.
Tickets will be £3.50 and you pay the class teacher before the disco. If you have 2 pupils in school £6 if you have 3 , £8. The oldest child can pay their teacher the price of the ticket. This will enable them to have a drink, crisps, chocolate and sweets. Sorry if you have not paid before the disco, then we will not be able to admit your child and will call you to collect them. It is unfair on everyone who has paid if you do not. You have plenty of notice of the cost.
Finish time Foundation phase 3.30pm
KS2 4.30pm
Many thanks for your understanding
Dear parents/guardians
It is with great sadness for us a school that we say goodbye to Mrs Tracy Hall. Tracy has worked tirelessly for the school and made a huge difference to the lives of many of your children over the years working at Maes Y Morfa. She has co-ordinated support for families, events and raised hundreds, if not thousands of pounds for our school funds, which has benefitted your children in many ways.
She is the first to help with any cause or anyone in need and the work she has done to support pupils with a variety of challenges has been commendable. She has been instrumental in supporting staff with training and development, which has been vital to the school ethos.
The level of skills and knowledge she has gained over the years has made her invaluable to us and as a result, she has been identified by another business who wish to harness her abilities and develop her further. They are able to offer her further opportunities that as a school ,we cannot.
We would like to thank Mrs Hall wholeheartedly for everything she has done on behalf of the pupils, staff, governors and the general community. We wish her the very best for her future.
Mrs Hall’s last day will be Friday 14th March.
Wednesday 5th March our Eisteddford, please allow your children to wear Welsh costume , rugby shirts or their school uniform .
Friday 7th March Our World Book Day - pupils can dress up as their favourite character or wear school uniform
Monday 17th March and Monday 7th April INSET DAYS
Please be aware while your child is at home they have their passwords for sumdog and for reading eggs.
They can work on the activities set by the teacher .
Many thanks
