  • Parents getting involved in pupils' learning

    Thu 04 Nov 2021

    Parents involved in learning

Starting this week, we will be uploading weekly photographs on our school website of the pupils doing their weekly activities. This is in response to our parents' survey where you have asked to be made aware of what the children are doing. You have also requested that you would like to get involved with the themes that your child is working on.

We have taken this on board and next week your child will given a creative project. This is designed to be a fun and exciting activity that they can work on at home with you. This will be something that will be done over 6 weeks and handed in before the end of term. We will be rewarding pupils with house points for completing these projects and are very much looking forward to seeing what they complete. More details will come out next week with the class teacher. Please have some fun with your child in completing the activity and help them gain house points.

We have given you this length of time to enable families with more than one child to spend quality time with each pupil in designing and making these projects. Again, we will share photographs of everything that is made on the school website, when they are handed in.

    Many thanks

  • Reading Eggs

    Thu 21 Oct 2021

Dear Parents, pupils were handed out information yesterday for reading eggs. We have taken out a subscription for this company because it allows pupils to read anywhere as long as they have their password and log in details. Please keep these safe. In school they have done an initial assessment online with the teacher and they are now set at a specific level and ready to go. This means the programme will select appropriate reading for them. There is also a range of spelling activities as well. Please explore, your child can access this on any device including a phone. Please encourage your child to use this over half term and daily if possible. Many thanks

  • Update on PE kit

    Sun 03 Oct 2021

We are delighted to inform you that our school PE kit is now available from Picton Sports.

If you only want to purchase the t-shirt and your child wears their normal school jumper on a PE day that is fine. If you are purchasing the t-shirt and PE training top , you can wear any black or dark coloured bottoms. Many thanks for helping design the kit. Please remember that PE day is a day when pupils need to wear appropriate kit for physical education e.g trainers and sports wear. It is not a non-uniform day where dresses, jeans etc are worn. These are not suitable for PE.

  • COVID update

    Wed 08 Sep 2021
Important change regarding COVID and isolation. Please be aware that unless your child tests positive, has COVID symptoms or you are contacted by TTP they do not need to isolate for 10 days. This is the address to book a PCR test: www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or call 119.
It is TTP that will advise if this is necessary and it is not an automatic process anymore.
It is no longer the case that if someone is positive in your household or in the same class that everyone has to isolate. TTP will give out individual advice either directly to you or through school, depending on who has reported it.
We will update with any changes where necessary.
